While our world is full of devastation, decay, and death, redemption is coming! One day King Jesus will return and make all things new (Rev. 21:5). In the meantime, how are Christians to relate to planet Earth?

This issue of the Baptist Bulletin begins with “Creation: From Ruin to Redemption,” by Ken Fields, which traces God’s acts regarding creation. Then Christopher Cone discusses environmental responsibility (“Is Christianity Bad for the Environment?”), while Al Franklin considers how Biblical authority and hermeneutics determine our conclusions about scientific data (“Why Are Regular Baptists Young Earth Creationists?”), and Larry Vardiman takes a look at global warming (“How Should We Then Think about Climate Change?”). Lastly, David Doran moves us away from the earth itself to thinking about the peoples of the earth, as he introduces Advance the Gospel, a new conference on Christian missions.
