Philip De Courcy breezes through the first part of the interview, tossing out colorful details that would make for an interesting story—if the story was about him. A lad who grew up in Northern Ireland, attended a Baptist church with his parents, and won Sunday School awards for Bible memory. “But I was still unregenerate and lost,” Philip says now.
“I look back and thank the Lord for godly parents, for bringing me up in the fear and admonition of the Lord,” Philip says, pulling us back on topic. “I’m thankful for faithful pastors who just preached the Word Sunday morning and Sunday night and had a trust and confidence that the Word could do its work, even when they weren’t seeing results.”
