PAUL CHAPPELL

Striving Together (www.strivingtogether.com), 48 Pages, Paper, $1.50

This reviewer hasn’t seen a book or booklet on this currently pertinent subject, so this short publication has the potential of being very useful. Inexpensive, the book could be widely circulated among youth and adults alike.

The author’s approach is commendable. He doesn’t attack the person; rather, he lovingly gets the reader to consider the issue from several Biblical principles, including the principle of ownership (we don’t belong to ourselves but to the Lord). He inserts an occasional testimony, including one by a person who wears only long-sleeved shirts now, since earlier in life he got a tattoo on his arm that has unspiritual connotations. Like so many decisions, getting a tattoo has lasting consequences.
