As a teenager, I felt God directing me toward ministry and assumed my career goal should be senior pastor. At the same time I believed God would use me to reach people all over the planet. There was just one problem: I am an introvert. Growing up around ministry, I had noticed that most churches seem to value dynamic and highly relational personalities. My lack of that kind of personality created great tension in me. After all, how was I supposed to reach people all over the world when engagement with people wore me out?
