A Brief Journey through Dispensationalism
To many, the word dispensationalism brings to mind debates about the rapture or apocalyptic books and movies. Some think of intricate charts of end-time events, while others have no idea what it means or why they should care. My goal is to answer these questions by (1) providing a brief historical background, (2) defining essential points of dispensationalism, (3) illustrating it with a Biblical overview, (4) investigating two key texts, (5) summarizing the value of dispensationalism, and (6) addressing the role of the New Testament Exposition Commentary series.
