Churches naturally desire to be known as welcoming to their communities.

But American culture has added a lot of unwholesome baggage to the concept of being welcoming. How can we say we love America when it has a history of bigotry, slavery, and other forms of evil?

A church that desires to be faithful to God’s Word should have a ready answer to this challenging question, an answer that both recognizes the reality of sin and relies on the saving grace of Jesus Christ.
