Conference in Imphal

The Hindals began their ministry at the Northeast India Regional IPFBM Leadership Conference, where 70 leaders from four associations came together for encouragement, fellowship, and instruction. Dr. H. C. Stephen, conference organizer and chairman of the Council of Eight of the International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries, had invited the five IPFBM partners in Northeast India.

Bob Faust, representing the pro-life ministry Life Matters Worldwide, conducted afternoon seminars on the sanctity of life. Then he, Dr. Stephen, and Chris Hindal spoke during the general sessions. Stephen and Hindal also met with the officers of the four associations, casting vision for their cooperative effort, as well as listening to the interests of each association.

The regional association is interested in pursuing a publishing effort in conjunction with Regular Baptist Press. The strategy includes not only publishing RBP Sunday School and VBS curriculum in English with an Indian adaptation, but also translating it into tribal languages. Dreaming into the future, the regional association foresees the development of RBP Asia, publishing RBP curriculum for all of Asia. The officers decided to meet within 30 days to form a publishing committee and set action steps.
