At the 2015 Midwest Congress of Baptist Fundamentalists, GARBC pastors Michael Riley and Mike Augsburger defended divergent views on what kind of music is appropriate for corporate worship. Here Riley presents “A Case for Traditional Worship,” while Augsburger presents “A Case for Contemporary Music,” and both contribute to “In Spirit and in Truth: What Should We Do about Music in Worship?” The remainder of this issue introduces Pastor Mike Hess, candidate for national representative of the General Association of Regular Baptist Churches, and reports on the search process for this nominee. Messengers from churches in fellowship with the GARBC will vote on Mike at the 2018 GARBC Conference in Fishers, Indiana, June 26–29.
