Why High Church Liturgical Practices Are Dishonoring to Christ

By Fred Moritz

Sola Scriptura. Sola fide. Sola gratia. Solus Christus. Soli Deo Gloria. True Bible-believing Christians embrace these theological affirmations. Each of the five solas can be viewed two ways: as a rejection of unbiblical Roman Catholic dogmas and as a statement of Biblical doctrines.

The GARBC Articles of Faith, reflecting the language of the historic New Hampshire Confession of Faith, articulate the Biblical and historic principle of Solus Christus:

We believe that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. Repentance is a change of mind and purpose toward God prompted by the Holy Spirit and is an integral part of saving faith.

My purpose here is to demonstrate that Scripture clearly teaches that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only condition of salvation. Salvation is through Christ alone.
