Pro-Life Ministries: A Bridge to the Church

Some churches are afraid that participating in the pro-life cause will distract them from their “main” job of evangelism and discipleship. But how many of our churches have Muslims coming to them for help? How many of our churches have a steady stream of needy people walking through their doors seeking counsel? If we are honest, we would have to admit that many unsaved people have a phobia about churches and how “church people” are going to receive them. Although they might not enter a church, they do come into Women & Teens Pregnancy Center.

Women & Teens does not seek to replace the local church. The local church is God’s institution for outreach and discipleship. Women & Teens, however, does seek to be a bridge to the local church. We seek to lead our clients to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and then we try to channel them into independent, fundamental churches. From there, those local churches can disciple those new believers and seek to win their families and friends to the Savior. Women & Teens is a Baptist ministry. We are not ecumenical. It is possible for solid, fundamental churches to support a pro-life ministry without compromise.
