Baptism Observable to Passersby

September 21, 2009

LAUREL, Md.—Drivers going past Grace Baptist Church on the first Sunday in September might have done a double take upon seeing the congregation gathered outside in the parking lot, enthusiastically singing as they witnessed a special baptism service. Brad Roth, a seminary student, baptized his two sons, Zachary and Jacob, in full view of the road in a bright blue pool acquired for the occasion. Pastor Mike and Holly Hammons, standing beside Susan Rolf, watched with joy as their church members and many unsaved loved ones heard the two boys’ testimonies and their father’s commitment to raise them in a godly home. Following the service, everyone stayed for a picnic on the church grounds to fellowship and enjoy the beautiful day God provided.
